The beach is across the road from Haadson. A guest made that clear in their review: leave the hotel, cross the road, and Bangsak Beach is opposite. It is a small but useful correction to the word beachfront. The sea is close, but the route is not simply from your room onto the sand.
Haadson's official description is unusually modest. It calls the resort family managed and locally staffed, with 39 rooms made up of CoconutRooms and villas. Those rooms occupy a site of 19 acres, with casuarina trees and a natural saltwater lagoon. A relatively small room count on that much land is the detail that makes the property stand out to me.
The grounds interest me as much as the room here. For a traveller who enjoys walking and being around trees, the site itself can be part of the reason to stay. That is a different attraction from having a large number of restaurants, shops, or organised activities inside one hotel. Haadson's published description places the landscape at the centre of the property.
Several visitors liked the quiet surroundings. One had not realised how far the resort was from central Khao Lak, but still found enough nearby restaurants, bars, and massage places for their stay. That is a useful distinction: away from the centre does not necessarily mean there is nowhere to eat. It does mean central Khao Lak should not be imagined as the hotel's immediate neighbourhood.

A guest travelling with three adults added an extra bed and felt the high-season cost was substantial. They still enjoyed the stay. On their last day, the air-conditioning failed and staff brought fans. Another family noticed cracked tiles in parts of the pool. These are individual reports, but they are concrete enough to include alongside the praise. I am more interested in those details than in a claim that the resort is flawless. An air-conditioning problem can matter a great deal to the person in that room, even during an otherwise enjoyable holiday. It does not establish a fault in every room. The pool-tile observation has the same limit: it tells us what one family saw, not what repairs may have happened afterwards.
Haadson seems most appealing for a stay that stays local to Bangsak. The road crossing, large grounds, and distance from the centre are all part of that choice. If the plan is to spend most evenings in central Khao Lak, the same location loses some of its appeal.
Sources and scope
This is a researched editorial review, not an account of a personal stay.
Five Agoda comments dated November 2024–April 2025 were read. The official site confirms 39 rooms, a 19-acre site, and a saltwater lagoon. Pool tiles and air-conditioning problems came from separate individual reports in 2025; repair status is unknown. No current journey time or transport price is claimed.
