Motive Cottage: third-floor luggage and a breakfast disagreement

Getting a suitcase to the third floor was the awkward part of one Motive Cottage stay. The guest reported no lift. They liked having shops and places to eat nearby, but carrying luggage upstairs was not a small detail for them. A central location does not make the route to the room easier.

Another guest stayed in a separate building away from the pool and enjoyed the quieter setting and wide balcony. Their room initially smelled musty, and they said the pillows could be changed on request. These are different experiences of the same property, with the accommodation's position helping to explain part of the difference.

Breakfast is the point on which the accounts disagree most. Some visitors received breakfast and were satisfied with it. A guest who booked a pool-access room with breakfast said they were given a restaurant coupon instead. They were also disappointed by the room's surroundings and sheets. It is their account of a particular booking, not a confirmed policy for every guest.

Motive's official site places the swimming pool on the ground floor and advertises a shuttle to Bang Niang Beach, Khao Lak Centre, and Memories Beach. That supports thinking of this as a base for moving around, rather than a room directly on the sand. I have not verified a current timetable for the shuttle.

The surrounding food options are a more consistent thread in the guest comments. Visitors mentioned the market, restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies. That everyday convenience gives Motive a reason to consider it even when the room is simple. For a traveller spending much of the day outside, the neighbourhood can matter more than a resort's long facilities list.

The floor and building deserve attention here. A quieter room away from the pool may suit one person, while a third-floor room without a lift may be difficult for another. The breakfast account adds a separate concern about what a particular stay actually included.
