A traveller who regularly came to Khao Lak for work kept returning to Kokotel Lighthouse. They liked the spacious loft-style room, soft bed, and breakfast that included Thai dishes as well as American-style choices. For someone staying repeatedly, those everyday comforts can matter more than a dramatic first impression.
Other visitors noticed soft mattresses too. One liked being able to choose pillows, while another praised the coffee at breakfast. These are useful details for people who care about sleeping comfortably and beginning the day without leaving the hotel immediately.
The original list called this Suwan Palm Resort. The Agoda page now displays Kokotel Khao Lak Lighthouse, and Kokotel's own website confirms that name and the Nang Thong beachfront setting. The article uses the present identity rather than attaching recent experiences to the old brand.
A guest mentioned surfing lessons next door, but I have not verified the operator or a current lesson schedule. The official site does identify the hotel restaurant as Coconuts @Nang Thong by Koko. That gives the dining area a confirmed name, while the guest comments provide the individual experiences of breakfast there.
Not every detail was positive. One visitor found quite a few mosquitoes in the room. That report should not be applied to every room. It is a specific concern within an otherwise enthusiastic stay.
The returning work traveller gives the clearest reason to consider Lighthouse. The room was somewhere they were happy to come back to, and breakfast offered variety across visits. The beach adds a holiday setting, but the bed and daily meals are what made the hotel useful for that guest.
